Cowon has launched a new portable media player (PMP) in the Korean market. The Cowon J3 PMP will come with a color AMOLED touchscreen display that measures 3.3-inches in size and supports a pixel resolution of 480×272.Its main features include stereo bluetooth 2.0, a DMD tuner, a TV out connection and a voice recorder. Other specs include a Flash player, an integrated dictionary, a microSD card slot and a battery life that has been rated for 64 hours of music or 11 hours of video playback before a recharge is required.
The Cowon J3 PMP will be available in three storage sizes, 4GB, 8GB or 16GB as well as two color choices, black or white. Pricing for the PMP is not known at this time, nor is it clear if this device will be available in commercial markets outside of Korea though previous Cowon devices have made their way to the US within weeks or months of their initial launch date.
